Ravensclaw Winners

On Tuesday 7th February we celebrated Harry Potter Book Night. The quiz tested the pupils' knowledge  of all the Harry Potter books. It was a hard fought battle but Ravensclaw came out top. Well done and thank you to everyone who took part.

Dundee Secondary Schools S1-S6 Dance Competition

Dundee Active Schools Schools S1 - S3 Table Tennis competition

Ewan, Matthew and Jacob represented St John's in the Dundee Active Schools Schools S1 - S3 Table Tennis competition and finished in 1st place with Harris and Baldragon finishing 2nd and 3rd. It was the first time that St John's have won this Trophy.

Book Club Burns Quiz January 2017

The Book Club held a Burns Quiz last night. Well done to the winners, Ruth and Valerie.

Rotary Club Public Speaking Competition


Miss Cameron’s S1 pupils will be taking part in a Public Speaking Competition organised by The Rotary Club of Dundee. The event will take place on Wednesday 15th February 2017 in the Learning Centre here at St John’s. Good Luck!

SFA - another fantastic achievement

SFA - another fantastic achievement for Philippa, she has been selected for the UEFA Women's U16 Development Tournament 18-24 Feb.

Scottish Cup

S2 football team vs St Columba's HS (4th round) - St John's won 5-0 (Goal scorers - Garrick, Ferguson(2), Kunc(2)).

We now play Gryffe HS at home for a place in the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup.

Children's Hearing Training January 2017

On the 21st of January we once again took part in a training exercise for the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration. This year Jay and Maia supported by Shaeleigh (all S3) attended. Jay took the role of Emma Devlin, who was the subject of the panel hearing, and Maia was her elder sister, Nicola. Mr Lennon was Emma’s guidance teacher. The pupils performed really well, and were applauded by an audience of around forty trainees. Well done both of you!
