Letter for Parents and Carers - New Learning Path for Pupils

Dear Parent/Carer

I hope this finds you all well and adjusting to the extraordinary situation we all find ourselves in.  I would like to thank you for your patience and support as we work through this new situation and undertake the steep learning curve that is Microsoft Teams.  My staff are working tirelessly to come to terms with digital learning and I am sure you will agree that they have done an amazing job in a very short period of time.

It is our intention to move our young people forward in their learning journey on to a new virtual  timetable – without the timetable.  S1 classes will have the same teachers in almost all cases, they will continue to build on their S1 learning as they move in to S2.

S2/3/4/5 – the young people will follow the subjects they have selected for session 2020/2021.  Staff will allocate young people into new Teams online.

These changes will begin from Monday 4th May, 2020, with staff establishing new Teams as we move through the week.  Your continued support and patience will be greatly appreciated as we undertake this task.

If your young person cannot access online learning and has finished all of the work in their current learning pack please contact us by calling 01382 307060 or by e mail st-johns@dundeecity.gov.uk.

If you have any difficulties please do not hesitate to contact us.

Stay safe.

Yours sincerely

Mrs F McLagan
