Geography Tour to Switzerland

21-28 June 2014

The last week of summer term was a bit different for some S4 and S5 pupils this year.  The Geography department organised a trip for 38 pupils to Leysin in Switzerland.  During our stay we enjoyed many excursions including the Langglestscher Glacier and Gorge du Trient to support our Glacial Studies Units.  As part of our Industrial Unit we visited the Nestle Chocolate Factory and the Gruyère Cheese Factory.  Further excursions and activities included a river ramble in Les Diablerets, an afternoon spent in Montreux on the banks of Lake Geneva, ice skating, bowling, the Aquaparc at Le Bouveret and the Berneuse Cable Car.
